Dr. Darrick E. Sahara Applied Kinesiologist and Chiropractor

Linda Nicholes - Plug in America
Linda Nicholes is a self-described environmental activist and electric car advocate. She is a co-founder and past president of Plug In America. Linda works to educate youth about the importance of electric transportation and transitioning to renewable energy sources. She conducts frequent workshops for high school-aged youth, speaks to environmental organizations and has been driving an electric car powered by her residential solar array since 2001. |

My name is Talin Shahnazaryan. I was born on December 18, 1998. My parents migrated to the United States of America when I was 16 months old. I started my education in Head Start program in Glendale then I went Benjamin Franklin for Kindergarden. After kindergarden I transferred to Mark Keppel Elementary School. Now I am at Mark Keppel Elementary School and I am in the 5th grade with my teacher Mrs. Faieta. For the last 2 years I have been actively involved in Green Programs such as Solar and Wind Power. |

Our family pediatrician was all set to help me get into UCLA Medical School. For a number of family situations that arose, that goal was not achieved. |

Steve Julian - Radio Host 89.3 KPCC FM: Media Award
Steve Julian joined KPCC in 2000 after five years as a traffic reporter for AirWatch America in Santa Ana.

Steve Edberg, NASA, JPL Scientist: Science Award
Steve Edberg is an active astronomical observer, photographer, and telescope maker. He started observing seriously in 1965 with meteors. His interests have expanded since then to observing everything: the Sun, eclipses, planets, stars, deep sky objects, and comets and meteors, though he presently concentrates on transient phenomena. In his garage he has built telescopes, spectrographs, a meteor chopper, and numerous other observing aids.
